My love, is this journey ever to truly end? My head, it is pounding the glass window, Louder than the thousand voices around me! A buzz in my heart, it is bright and fresh. My Bio

I am a very normal person, at least that is what the voices inside my head say. I am a professional artist/university professor, but dabble as philosopher, engineer, and collector of all things old. My interests always fringe on the esoteric, ranging from the absurdly scientific to the analytically superstitious. That would account for the hours spent in front of X-files and Twilight Zone. I love conundrums: How do you discard a garbage can? Can a puppet climb its own strings? Are you free, if you are unaware of your cage? Who's on first? etc.

Art and Fear

The blank canvas or paper is foe to the artist.  In my case, it is the cold shiny reflection of a copper etching plate. The surface will not yield to half-hearted efforts. Authority and abandonment are great hopes. I seek authority over the metal and abandonment to all fears; I attack the surface with invincible control.  There are no mistakes in my world.  Every stray line or unintended scratch is forced to be essential.
